General Work Disagreement
« on: 15 July 2010, 11:49:25 »

We have just had a discussion in work on what, in the current climate (economic) is the safest job to have.
I will tell you all what we do after the discussion on here, if there is one.

I reckon Bakers or Farmers are the safest as people have to eat.
Over to you................

After Entwood's undertaker I would suggest that any real Establishment position would be pretty much bullet-proof (no pun) for the foreseeable future.

The Great British Establishment, promoting the ties that bind - past, present and future.  And if you have to ask what they may be, then plainly you don't need to know. :-? ;D ;D :y :y

Not farmers. True the public have to eat but the farmer is still being squeezed like everyone else. Removal of subsidies, increased materials and fertilizer costs etc. Plus the supermarkets in the so called quest for low prices, for that is what the consumer apparently wants, will happily dump any agreement for a cheaper one perhaps from a third world country.

So the answer to your question is supermarket work! :y

Nah..........
Solicitors, Barristers, and all the legal profession. Think about it- divorce, Debt, wrongdoing, house moving, wills, disputes, advice on legal matters, in fact no matter what you do, at some time you will need them.

Ever seen a poor solicitor or barrister??

-Thought not.

Dentist must be in the list somewhere as there is a shortage of them.

Never seen a poor Doctor or Surgeon.

Low paid, but free meal every shift has got to be McD's (If you dont mind being exploited)

Sewer/drain-cleaner or septic tank emptier; there`ll always be work there......as long as you don`t mind the miasma. ::)

Nothing focuses people`s minds like raw sewage welling-up in their garden. ;D
