Help - Office 2007 - Excel Passwords

Not sure if some one has accesed my PC, foumd a ghost icon of a spread sheet I have not used for a week on on my desktop as I came out of a game.

So how fo I apply a password to an excel spedsheet.

Part of the office 2007 package.

office software create some hidden auto backups or copies during work.. may be this is the reason..

tools>protection>protect sheet

Seen it in operation and would accept it if I had opened said file.

Clean desktop before I played a game, but beackup file of an unoped file there after game.

Suspicious so want to protect certain files.

Not sure I would rely on office security, been notoriously weak in the past.

I would created a password protected ZIP file, and add them in there.

Good long, secure password, jobs a good un  :y

if its a critical file keep backups on cd and temporary one on usb imo.. :y

The work book one I had to down load IUM and then it has something to do with windows live (No way)

Protect work sjeet didnt stop the file from being opened but will go back and tag the rest of the options.

File->save as->Tools->general Options then fill in password.

Note Office passwords easy to crack.
