Their test driver is used to ragging the Veyron about so no real surprise that he got more out of it than May. Still, got to hand it to (ex?) "Captain Slow" for having to balls to get in and drive it virtually flat out - I've been round Millbrook at 175mph and although it's awesome it's really scary, so over 250mph must be mind blowing! :o

It actually make JC the slowest presenter of the 3.

James May 250 mph +
Hamster crashed at over 300 mph.
Stiggy has driven the F1 car round at ? mph
JC has possibly nugged ? mph on the straight 9cant remeber his fastest speed at the mo)

Plus with all the help from Jackie stewart and Hanu Mikkals on driver/speed training that James May has had, it would be an interesting day out to see 3 different trypes of race between the 3 of them to see how well they comepare.

Off road it would be either Hammond or Clarkson, in theory Hamster should win as he seems to favour off road/rally type driving.  Bur JC has done some interesting off road with the army etc

On the Topgear track, then clarkson should nail it.  How ever, if you made it an endurance race on the TG track then my money is on James May
