Mot & Voice recognition
« on: 26 July 2010, 08:26:08 »

Just rang up my normal tester....an MOT / Servicing place in Chester to book in her car...

The phonecall went like this....

me "can i book an mot please"
them " yes, when"
me "asap"
them "ok, tomorrow 4pm, an omega is it?"
me "how the hell???????"
them "recognised your voice!"

its been a year!

how on earth I will never know, plus rang from work so no caller id!

Had a check over of it last week, put on new front pads and a track rod end, and tightend the handbrake cable.  Heres hoping for a pass.  :y

only remaing advisory from last year is the old rear subframe bushes...

Bugger, must check when the bike is due. That will be a nail biter, seeing as last yeah the 'phonecall' went like...

MOTer: "Hi, is that Mr TheBoy"
Me: "Yup"
MOTer: "Its AcmeBikesLtd about your MOT"
Me: "Come on then, I can't take the suspense"
MOTer: "It passed.....   .....surprisingly"

Mine looked great before it bit me, and made me chew tarmac.  Now it looks really battered down one side (mines the black/silver colour, but the rarer of the 2 schemes they did, so cannot get replacement panels, despite 5yrs of regular ebaying)
