mini meet sounds good, although parking is an issue around here, there is on-road parking which is free but only a handful of spaces in the car park.

Its dead easy to get to via train through, got main line rail and 3 other stations within 1 mile  :o
I was in Acton the other week & know London pretty well. You're just off the North circular near Shepherds Bush & Ealing, i'm in Neasden just above you tomorrow. I'd have to drive though & would need settee or floor space for a sleeping bag & pillow for one night. I would supply & cook the food though. Would make for some fun piccies to post & your kitchen would be officially christened!! 8-)

a carpenter or kitchen fitter in the house?

I've just moved into my flat in Acton, London, picked up keys on Monday!  :D

Starting to re-decorate the whole place, there are some built in Wardrobes which have Louvre Doors, these have been horribly coated in some very crappy gloss, going to replace these with wooden ones and varnish them, but the internals to the wardrobe have had their day. The floor and backs to the wardobe need replacing, its also made out of some very crappy thin cardboard type wood, i would like it done right, so that rules me out!  ;D

Can anyone recommend someone?

Also the kitchen, although nice fittings and style have been used, its been put together by a complete moron, who had no idea what a sprit level was! Even I have one of those! Couple of things need sorting, also the built in dishwasher is not quite secure, it moves around a bit, so needs re-fitting / bolting.

Beer vouchers / folding notes waiting  :y

I've fitted a few kitchens & bathrooms, built in dishwashers, depending on make, usually require feet adjustment to fit snugly up to worktop, also they often have screws through top brackets into said worktop, probably been left off by fitter.

From what i can see one of these has fall off, but i struggle to lift it up, i'll need to inspect the feet i think...

Already spoken with him, sadly as its a breach of contract and falls outside conveyance, there will be extra charges incurred. I did not like the sofas anyway, but free would have been nice, only two things i really would have wanted is the dining room table and bed frame, but brand new replacements are less than £200 so its not really worth the hassle  :-/

Any saturday is good for me mate. I can bring cooking utensils so don't worry about the catering side of things. We need to do this on a weekend when the kitchen fitters/chippies are free & i'll go along with that date. Would like to book an overnight parking space for the Beastie if poss!! Guy. 8-)

Write a letter to the previous owner.....stating that items were not left as in inventory.....and estimate a value of the items....£250/£500?? itemising individually and either return your property at their expense or pay the amount you have estimated.
State if they do not respond within 14 days, then the next step will be small claims court.

If you do not know their address, take the letter to their solicitor and ask them to forward it on.

I did similar with a cooker that hadnt been left in a property i bought, and got a cheque of them for £100  :y They didnt like the threat of small claims court.....as they cannot win.... :y ;)
