How good is OOF?
« on: 31 August 2010, 23:22:10 »

I'll start by saying that in the time I've been on here I've found this forum to be brilliant. Full of helpful advice, helpful people, maintenance guides, quick replies etc; and all laid out very well and easy to find what you want.

I'm just thinking to myself that this must be one of the best forums on the internet? Not that I've got any great experience of them; the only other one I'm a member of is the Transit one, but rarely go on and it's not as good as this IMO.

Someone on OOF, I can't remember who was saying how on their first post on the Saxo forum they got a load of abuse hurled at them! Might be because of the Saxo drivers stereotype?!?! Opinions?!?!?! Not all though!!

What doe anyone else think? :)

Is that the forum where they discuss the right positioning for back copies of The Sun and old polystyrene cups on the dashboard? ;)

Only jesting. Welcome to the OOF, Geoff. :y

Of course, all forums have stereotypes and OOF is no exception.

You could sum up most OOF members as grumpy old gits who live in the 70s & 80s and hate caravans.

 ;) ;) ;D

this is the best forum ive ever been on !!
been on a few other but they arent quite helpful plus the people are rude
:(

On this forum however, not only do you alot of help and advice, the people around here surprisingly nice and extremely helpful !!

and I really mean it !!

TBH  I was expecting this to be like any other forum, but its just too good !!

Guess I'll always be a member of it even if I dont own an omega in the future
:)

Brilliant forum no doubt !!

We do try  :y

The culture here is very different to most forums, especially the way members will bend over backwards to help each other out.
Works really well imho.
The trouble starts when people join, and refuse to recognise the different ways the community here operate, and then risk spoiling it for all.  Luckily that happens all too rarely  :D

Agree with all above.

Very,Very helpfull people who are only too willing to go out of their way to offer friendly and informatrive advise to both skilled and not so skilled owners.

Great site and people, and long may it continue.
