rearended by three taxis in two years
« on: 07 September 2010, 21:15:45 »

We were rearended(not in the good way!) by the third taxi from the same local taxi company in the last 2 years today. The first two when stationary and today today out of a side street into the rear drivers side of the boot.
It seems that this company have a grudge against my poor old miggy!
After an hour on the phone to their head office i still haven't managed to get their insurance details, and im told i will have to wait till tomorrow afternoon because they have four previous crashes to deal with from today....
Taxi for shell? errr i think i will just walk thankyou!

You would have thought that a company with such a poor safety record would have it's license revoked!  :o

Sorry to hear about your problems, I hope things get better  :y

Why the chuff are you trying to find out who their insurance company is/are?
take the reg. number, and give it to your insurance company.
they can search the mid database and find it out instantly.

then phone your local council who deal with private hire licensing and put in an official complaint.

Perhaps Shell should question just what is it, exactly, about her rear that's attracting all this unwelcome attention. :-/ ;D :y

Also forgot to add:
failure to give details after an incident is an offence.
a quick word to the plod might be in order...

One should count one's blessings, I suppose. If they had been been taxidermists, she would have been well and truly stuffed.

the driver didn't know his insurance details and refused to give his name, and his controller from the company refused to give the details or the name of driver(he really wasn't in a fit state to drive IMO). My insurance seemed to get to the bottom of it all pretty quick, but still we don't know the drivers name. I mentioned this at our local police station earlier and they weren't really bothered.
Fingers crossed it will turn out fine.
many thanks to the marvellous men on the omega forum! thanks again shell xx

You dont need to know the drivers name as the company insurance will cover the claim. It would be a different matter if he had committed a criminal offence.
