I've just realised that some chuffin low life scragbag has nicked my 5 year old daughters bike from out the front of the house !!!!!!!!!!!

She's a 5 year old, we live in a cul-de-sac, her and her mates that live in the road have been in and out all day playing. They all leave their stuff lying around and us parents return it to it's rightful home at the end of a days play. Only today we're minus one bike!

I agree with you here scimmy man, but it's just a sad state of affairs we accept this, when a poor young girl gets her bike nicked.

Bring back real punishment that's what i say (not in a kneejerk reaction way!)

Miss Vamps had her pinched from out the front, overnight... not the sort of thing that happens here, though the bike is usually in the garage.....

I warned the neighbour over the road, they have kids as well, and often have all sorts of things left on the drive overnight...... as E says, shouldn't need to there is little value in such things, in our case we feel a 'youth'  from another village has taken it to get home............

While I'm not in favour of stealing bikes, I do occasionally get a tad irritated by the kids bikes left lying on our shared driveway. 

It's hard enough backing the Omega in without being distracted by the crunching of spokes and saddles.

Some years ago I bewailed the fact that my daughter's bike had been nicked out of our garden shed to my next-door neighbour. 

He ranted on about how bad it was and got onto the subject of the cheap power-tools he can get at the local car boot sale.  At no point did he put two and two together because he was happy to rant and happy to receive 'cheap' merchandise.

You may well know the individual who relieved your daughter of her bike.

there is a discussion going on in our local council at the moment for an initiative to give away little combination locks to kids because so many bikes are getting taken.
Is it a coincidence that Xmas is not far away, and with a little bit of paint and a few different accessories.....................or am I just a bit cynical??
