Ireland
« on: 11 October 2010, 20:59:06 »

Something came up in discussion today about Irish emigration. Population of Ireland is 4.2 million according to CIA Factbook.

Apparently nearly 400,000 Irish people are trying to move to countries such as US, Canada, Australia to escape financial situation and political system corruption - the embassy's etc having difficulty to cope.

Googled a bit and found this

If they are going to the US to escape 'politcal system corruption, then the words 'frying pan' and 'fire' come to mind.
With regards to the language issue, it's always been the way that people feel very insecure when moving to a different country, so the fact that the same language is spoken is some reassurance......I would imagine.

It could be much worse - you could buy one next door to a family of scousers, :o ::) :P

Btw - the thread title is a tad confusing. There is no such country as Ireland. ;)
