We have all been talking about som of the rises we are seeing...

this starts putting some of it in perspective

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-11516195

47% rises for some drivers!

When I was 19, so back in the mid 90's, I insured my 1st car, a 3ish year old 1.4 Astra Merit for about £800, had quotes of up to £2000 then, I hate to imagine what it would be now!

When I was this tender age .....I was a very naughty boy ::) ::).....no tax and no insurance.... ::) ::)....I was responsible for plenty of youthful indiscretions back then.. ;)

I was the same Opti, but only with my bikes. They didn't have helicopters in those day & police bikes where no match ;D

I can still remember the "rozzers"in hot pursuit of me on my Honda 400/4 when I was just seventeen.....they had a Truimph 2.5 PI and a Rover 3500V8.......It all ended in a court appearance and a ban....Oh to be young an crazy again...Pete.. ;D ;D ;)

Insurance too high = lots of uninsured drivers.

When I was young bike insurance was very affordable

at least the rozzers are doing something about uninsured drivers.

some countries have a blanket third party insurance for everyone,
if you want more you pay.
