 1911 - Robert Johnson born. Without him there wouldnt have been Hendrix, Clapton etc. ;)

He was also the founder member of the "27 club", later joined by Hendrix, Joplin, morrison, Brian Jones, Cobain etc. :(

Guys, Im shocked: the beatles,beach boys,clapton,dylan,hendrix,van halen and vai,leo fender and lespaul,robert johnson,elvis-even prick ghastly, but no mention of Chuck Berry in rock history moments?tsk tsk

............................and talking of the Beatles THE great event was at 12.30pm, 9th November 1961, when Brian Epstein went to see The Beatles play at The Caven. This started Epstein's interest in the group and set in motion a chain of events that led to their UK and World stardom 8-) 8-) 8-).

You could also argue that date with George Martin at EMI was equally  important. No doubting the talents of messrs lennon,mccartney nor the contributions of Harrison (always my favourite Beatle/exBeatle) and Starr but  how would their  recordings have been without Mr Martin?
