Probably because they realise they were conned when told they were buying a good motor! (and realise they should've got an Omega instead)

Well, who'd 'a thunk it? ;D

Still, I'd be angry if I was that guy in the picture. They've put his steering wheel on the wrong side of the car. ;D

That can't be right.. I was definitely the angriest driver in Britain the last couple of evenings; stuck behind twonks doing 35mph down NSL country lanes who slow down to 25mph every time there's an oncoming car  >:(

OH GOD A CAR *slams on brakes* Oh it's gone now.. OH GOD A CAR *slams on brakes* Oh it's OK now.. OH G.. etc.

I always take these polls/surveys with a pinch of salt as there's normally some prejudice involved in them.

Whilst 5-10 years ago I'd say BMW drivers probably lived up to the stereotype, I think that crowd of drivers has moved onto the Audi's.  Yes I realise Clarkson also came to this conclusion 2/3 series ago.

Other than Audi I find people in their rep mobiles, particular those in the VW Passats to be tail-gaiting the most and often doing 90mph+ in their 2.0 dervs.

Just my opinion ofc.  ;)

Only what we already knew, specifically 7series drivers, without a shadow of doubt. I know "expect" some sort of aggro when ever I see one, which makes matters worse, in an apprehensive way...

The Mrs has the same issue over taking lorries in lane 2, she hesitates and therefor spends more time in harms way. Well that's me with 7series now, I absolutely despise them.  >:( the tinkers....

.....or am I coming across even angrier than a Bmw driver?  ::)  ;)

Where I live, by far the angriest (& most arrogant) drivers are the black taxi's... they may have passed "the knowledge" but they're all severely lacking IQ points... I can't stand them, they make my stomach churn  >:( If it was a london survey they'd be in the top 3 for sure !!!

Interestingly - I've had two BMWs in the past, a '54 330d and a '58 320d as company cars.

In both cases I can sense that I could feel an increased level of animosity towards me. This was especially noticeable having just got the cars - people being less likely to let you out, cut you up and seemed to be more likely to give a gesture.

Switching into SHMBO's car (Focus) would immediately change this - with people being more considerate towards me in the Focus as opposed to the BMW.

I don't care what people say, there is a definite pecking order out there on the road - thing is that every one has their own subconscious version of it and it changes according as your own experiences gained of other marques  - even as a passenger etc. There is no right answer to this one - that's for sure.

isn't a BMW 3 series one of, if not the commonest cars on the road-therefore theres probably a high number of angry drivers? i think you can be a knob whether you're driving a Beemer, a Bentley or a bus  8-)

of course if you choose a beemer with an "X" or indeed an Audi with a "Q" in the title then I can't help you  ;D

In my experience, sadly, there's more than a hint of truth to many of those.

I can't fathom it as it must call into question the content of a person if their personality changes when they drive a certain type of car.

Are they dickheads in life as well as behind the wheel?
