VERY brave. :y

Wouldn't be allowed these days due to elf & safety...plus the fact they wouldn't be able to train as there would be complaints about low flying.  ::) ::)

There were indeed, just as people still complain about modern jets flying low in training (which they still do!). ;) ;)

I had two jets fly over me at what felt like 100 feet last week across the M40.  The thing that made it more scary was the time, about half nine at night and very dark indeed!

One of my distant relations (Hoppy Hobday) flew on the raid as navigator on Les Knights aircraft. They were one of the lucky ones who returned, but on a subsequent raid their aircraft crashed. Les Knight was killed but Hoppy survived, was captured and spent the rest of the war as a POW.

The M40 corridor always was good for that, and the same planes fly low over my mum's house in Warwichshire.

I would love to fly like that..........and at night on instruments only!! 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

I watched it as well ,was suprised when they allowed the dreaded "N" word to be used ,maybe because it was on late?

Or maybe it is just historical fact that his dog was called that ;) ;)

I heard rumour of a big money hollywood remake, only problem was the dogs name-they said it was an absolute no-no
