Haye vs Harrison tonight
« on: 13 November 2010, 15:33:38 »

anyone putting anything on Harrison? personally I think Haye has yet to prove he's anything other than half decent as a heavyweight - virtually no competition in the division to test himself I guess, he'll beat Harrison but I think he'll have a bigger struggle than some of the more dismissive pundits seem to think....plus I have a sneaky feeling that Audley could unleash a bomb and KO him....not enough of a feeling to waste any money on tho  :y

If Haye doesn't beat Harrison convincingly tonight he'll be a laughing stock after all this hype, which included such gems as 'It'll be more one-sided than a gang rape'  ::)

No way - I'd chip in a quid or two if a few mates wanted to watch it though

Not according to the BBC site ...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/9184035.stm

Quote
Round two: Haye takes the initiative, he controls the centre of the ring but neither boxers are throwing any punches. More boos from the crowd and the referee steps in and tells both men to get on with it. That brings with it the biggest cheer of the night. Haye starts to open up but they only land on Harrison's gloves. Harrison covers up and he still has not thrown a meaningful punch. The bell goes, it is Haye's round but that is not saying much. It is a poor, negative start to the fight

Round one: A tentative opening minute from both boxers, Haye launches the first attack but he misses with both, he fulls short with a couple of jabs but it is the champion who is stalking Harrison around the ring. Harrison looks scared, he's retreating at an alarming pace but Haye keeps his distance. The bell goes to a chorus of boos. What a disappointing first round.

Looks like a waste of time !!!

Ahh ... see what you mean ..

Quote
Round three: David Haye opens up after a minute of the third, Harrison is in instant trouble, he cannot take Haye's power or speed, Harrison is down for the first time in the fight. He takes an eight count but he looks all over the place. Haye sprints over and launches another barrage of punches and the referee steps in and it is all over. DAVID HAYE WINS BY THIRD-ROUND TKO

Total waste of space then .. :)
