mobile phone advice
« on: 19 December 2010, 12:10:23 »

my daughter has just bought a 2nd hand nokia e71 which has been unlocked to any network.
it was originally on 02, and she is now using it on 3

trouble is it still tries to connect to the 02 internet.
anu ideas how to make it connect to the 3 network instead?

In the settings, phone settings, phone, network menu

you can select automatic, or manual, try changing to automatic or use the manual selection to find o2  :y

not uncommon for 3 phones to have been set to manual, as it helps in some areas where it doesnt work in automatic mode.

I have an E71 as my work phone - I am not at all impressed with it from a signal perspective, others in the company have similar problems - so be warned  :(
