Proper snowing now...
« on: 18 December 2010, 09:52:29 »

Started about 8am here, now about an inch with more to come, there's very little wind so guess it's here for a while.

I'm sure you've seen it on the news, airports cancelling flights etc, might affect Gaffers flight tomorrow by the looks. :-/

It's been on and off all night here, got a couple of inches already and it's still coming down. The gritters have been out overnight and the roads are fairly clear but the fresh snow is starting to settle on the gritted roads now! It does look pretty though :y

:'( There`s an even 2ft. of snow here now.....`trying to work out how long it`ll take me to clear enough of the driveway-track across the fields (as two wheel-ruts) to reach the nearest tarmac road; 500 metres away......feeling gutted, alone and miserable. :'(

Had more overnight here too Chris - about 6 inches worth, which is covering frozen slush underneath.

There's no buses, been no gritting done, and I can't get out of our garage either.

So it looks like another day confined indoors - and I could've been earning some serious dosh this weekend!
Ah well .........  :'(

On and off here, not coming down at the minute, only a very light sprinkle on the pavements, roads are clear.
