Police in the house now

Someone had kicked the door mirror of Master Vamps car off, giving crime reference number now.... ::)

Riot van, after a police car, so 4 police officers for a kicked off door mirror, thums up to Durham Police,  :y :y who told me that i should not have questioned master vamps for ringing 999....... :D :D :D

That's very surprising!!

It might be different in Durhams area, but check to see that the crime reference number isn't an incident reference number. They seem to have sneaked that in so they can manipulate the crime figures.

You would be lucky to even get a crime reference number here....

when i rang 999 for my car getting my rover broke into, they never turned up and then rang 3 days later to give me a crime number. i told them to piss off in the end, got the window from scrapyard and sorted it. when my boy got attacked they turned up 2 days later at 12 midnight, my x slam the door in there faces. they seem to be able to manage having a dozen of there men in the library car park on fridays pulling cars in though.  :y :y

Basically the response I got from TVP when I had the locks screwdrivered out of a car of mine (stereo etc etc gone) - I didn't call 999 mind, called the non emergency number, got a crime ref, asked if they wanted to send anyone out and was told "Nah, there's no point".

Heck, I didn't even bother calling 999 when I woke up to find someone climbing in my (ground floor) bedroom window  :D

That isn't a scenario that calls for the Police imho, or indeed 999 (unless you cut yourself dragging the scrotes lifeless body through the broken window!) 1st call would be the undertaker  ;D

I was half asleep and wearing only my birthday suit at the time, so all I managed was a sort of confused "H-hey!" .. at which point he scarpered back over my fence never to be seen again, I knew the police would never catch him anyway so I just shut the window and locked it.

Easy to confuse those maisonettes with the houses next to them, so I'm guessing he thought he was climbing into a dining room, not someones bedroom  :D

It is indeed an incident number.....I have no idea what the difference means anyway..... ::)
Police were out to see him this morning.....Don't know what about...
Police have done 'house to house' in the immediate area....
Socco turned up just after he had gone out, he was looking after Miss Vamps, he rang and we said just go, we will be back in 10 mins, Socco found Miss Vamps 'home alone'   ::) ::)
I fixed his mirror this morning, secure enough to use and the mechanical controls to adjust still work :o :o :o

To reiterate, swmbo chastised him last night when he said he had called 999 the police were fine about it.. :)

swmbo and myself are wondering if this is part of something bigger, hence the interest... I am not complaining, but think there response was a little OTT but may not be aware of all the facts. The value of the car would be less than the Police costs for their actions.... ::) ::)

But Thanks Durham Police for an excellent service... :y :y :y
