Well look on the positive side. The child won't want for anything financially.

I wish the TV reporting had been in more detail. For example who was the dad? Do they know? Was it a joint effort? How did the sperm get from the dad into the donor egg.? and so on. Spare no detail, the public have a right to know.

It's just WRONG on so many levels! >:(
Just because they're a pair of "married" shirt lifters does not give them the right to be parents. That kid will grow up so confused having 2 fathers and no mother!

I have always found the "tolerant left" to be the most intolerant people when someone disagrees with them. Hence Christians being sacked for not in all conscience being able to perform gay marriage ceremonies. Christian B&B owners being sued for not in all conscience being able to allow themselves to have gay men sleeping together under thier roof etc.etc.etc.
Where is the tolerance for those peoples deeply held morals and beliefs ??
My opinion is that the pendulum has  swung too far. In the 70,s "queer bashing" wasnt uncommon, that was obviously wrong and society had to move away from that. Now,we have had the age of consent lowered from 21 to 18 then to 16, and now Tatchell says he doesnt actually believe in an age of consent - where will it end ?
Like many other so called "minority groups" Gays have got themselves into a position where they can do what they want and no-one dare say a word against it. If you do you are automatically branded as a purveyor of hate. You are either completely with them or completely against them.
That to me is the absolute height of intolerance.

And did they throw away a load of female embryos before they came up with a good male one ?

Good question. I will add that to my list. The public have a right to know.

:-X It`s none of my business.....

....I`d hate to think `they might have a say in my life`s (perfectly-legal) choices. ;)

Despite their shared-life`s "unconventionality"; I sincerely wish they and their child, every happiness. :y

Albs, where to start.....you accuse this mythical "tolerant left" of being intolerant of intolerance by being intolerant of "Christian" attitudes  ;D ;D :y

brilliant.

up there with the Muslim holding the placard saying "Death to those who say Islam is violent"

priceless, you couldn't make it up  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

this attitude that you cant say or do anything for fear of offending "them" "the gays" as if every homosexual on the planet thinks exactly the same way as evry other homosexual on the planet - i'm willing to bet that there are gay communists, gay socialists, gay liberals, gay tories, gay people who like X-factor, gay people who don't like X-Factor, gay people who love football, gay people who hate football, gay people who hate gay people, gay bankers, gay doctors, gay soldiers, gay firemen, gay student protestors and gay policemen, so please Albs - this stunning insight into your black and white world - what are "the gays" thinking of now?  :y

p.s. can you give me 6 numbers for tonights lottery - ta  ;D

Banjax - if you refer to my earlier post regarding"the pink militant tendency" within the gay community it should be obvious that I was reffering to them and not "every gay on the planet" ::) ;).

Elton John was a legend back in the days of Benny & the Jets, yellow brick road etc. Since then his feeble attempts at music are bland & forgetable & he has turned into a sad pathetic queen. I know nothing of David Furnish. This child will want for nothing but will be brought up in the most preposterous envioronment that has no chance of resulting in a balanced grounded adult. As for the homophobic issue in the literal meaning of the word of course i'm not scared of gay men but in the sense it's generally used then yes i am. In other words i strongly disapprove. I wish i could stand with the more tolerant among you & accept what goes on behind closed doors but sorry i just can't. I'm not saying i think they should be outlawed or persecuted in any way but such acts just don't sit right with me. Blokes simply should'nt do that sh*t to eachother it's deviant & goes against the grain.
I know there are some who don't share my views, i admire you for being more open & accepting than i am & hope we can remain friends despite our differing opinions. Guy.

You should write a song about it .. I mean, it worked pretty well for Katy Perry and 'I kissed a girl' - surely this would work just the same .. no?  :D
