You should try driving the bloody things in this weather - More faults and failures on our 333 units than at any other time of year. :o

Incidentally, a TPE 185 was derailed in Summit Tunnel (Between Littleborough and Walsden on the Calder Valley line) yesterday due to a mahoooooosive block of ice falling from the tunnel vent shaft and landing on the rails - front bogie on the floor at 70mph - I'd have litrally soiled my undercrackers if I was driving that train! :-X

We used to have plenty of 156's at Leeds based at Neville Hill but Northern have shifted them to Heaton and Newton Heath so we hardly get them anymore :( - Shame really, cracking unit to drive :)

We do have 142, 144, 150/1, 150/2, 153, 155 and 158's to be going at in the diesel flavour though - Give me a 144 or a 158 any day of the week over anything else.

Having said that, give me a 37 and a rake of Mk 2d/3a stock and I'd be happy as a pig in the preverbial :D

(geek alert lol)
