Moving in a slightly different direction to parts of this thread  http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1295177920

I mentioned the government being a "Management" team and all so far all have done something wrong.

The biggest problem as well as managing funds (Tax, Vat and Councel Tax etc) is collecting them.

Everyone wants something for nothing, coupla quid here and there, the odd fiver, having the odd night out on the £20/50 earned for doing a favour that day.

Imagine if we were made into a cashless society and everything was done by way of credits.  (silicone chip implants have been mentioned over the years as ID, plus banking methods - allthough the real reason was probably traking purposes, I believe they wanted to start implanting them into babies when there was a problem with new borns being stolen from hospitals )

All the supermarkets and big business, internet buying and mostly done electronically.  But how many cash businesses are making "a bit extra"

I have been to a casino a couple of times and was amazed how many foreign nationalites were there that owned take away food outlets,  I had a distict feeling they were not using thier wages.  Lester Pigot was locked up for tax dodgeing.  People use red derv rather than pay for proper fuel, companies fiddle vat returns, the list is endless.

But where ever there is cash involved there is risk of greed and the fact that some one doesnt want to pay thier way.

But just imagine if that cashless society were to happen over night.  I would imagine there would be mass suicide as there would 1000's of people in this country alone that couldnt spend thier ill gotton gains.

It would be hilarious to see Spain become a cashless society. Here cash really is King unlike in Britain. Apart from supermarkets and petrol stations which do take debit cards more or less everywhere else only take cash. No cheques.

Some examples. Cash when buying your house (we carted our purchase money around and it was quite frightening).

Buying a car.

Spanish "DVLA" only takes cash, no cards or cheques.

idea is great.. if thats tried not all but most of the rules of society will be rewritten..  those who earn enormous sums and pay less tax than most of us wont like it apparently.. here some years ago , a minister tried a fraction of that idea and tried to record every money and every transaction of banks (internal and external) and do you know what happened ?  the powers eat him alive within a week >:( >:( >:(

all illegal jobs like to stay in darkness , if that changes (of course will change if those are used electronically and can be watched and viewed) its the end of them..

unless the govts are a partner which we also  have seen examples  :-/  :(
