Jamie's 30 minute meals....
« on: 05 February 2011, 19:49:09 »

I dont think so!

Saw this the other night and thought id give it a go

http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/other-recipes/british-picnic-sausage-rolls-mackerel-pa

The Pate alone took me 20 ruddy minutes let alone everything else and all i got off the mrs was that the kitchen was a mess and stunk of fish >:(

By the time i added up what i had spent i began to wonder maybe i was drunk when i thought id try and copy one of his meals.

Ill stick to ready made from now on ;D

The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.

It is possible to cook his meals in 30 minutes, (my missus does them all the time) the secret is to get everything ready up front. Jamie Oliver never mentions the prep time required, or the time spent clearing up afterwards, as these meals usually entail making quite a mess int kitchen, and nearly allways involve the use of a food processor. I bet he never washes up after himself.  :) :) ::) ::)

Exactly. Provided you've peeled & prepped it can be done. Besides if you've bought & cooked the food everyone else has enjoyed why should'nt someone else wash up? 8-)

When I saw the title I thought it was a thread about the eating habits of a certain idmin. Although from what Ive heard he can devour a curry in a lot less than 30 minutes. ::) ;D :-X

Whenever I am cooking I wash up as I am doing it, I hate to see a build up of pans and utensils, sadly this is something swmbo does not seem to understand.... ::) ::)
