lots of people moan about selling but when was the last time you went to a wood?
;D

I spy a city dweller.   ;D

I drove through Nottingham the other week and there were signs for Sherwood Forest all over the place.

And to add, I am out in the woods with the hound a number of times a week.

yes theres lots of signs but you dont see locals when you up there, and this city dweller actully has had a tree planted in sherwood forest.

my gut feel says "no", but as long as public access is maintained - I don't really mind.

From my reading of this subject the most voluble objections to the idea have also been amongst the most ignorant.  Personally I'm a little uncomfortable with the idea but I'd prefer to see the idea gone through in more detail to uncover issues.

I vote to sell them, we must get these large areas of land back into the ownership of the landed gentry as soon as possible. We must get the oiks back into there slums and keep them there. How dare they believe they have a right to roam, how dare they have time to spare.

I voted "no" - I wouldn't like them to be sold.
On the other hand, if they ARE sold - I'll be buying one...
