not a big fan if "Big" Ben R, bertie - but i grudgingly admit he plays well under pressure - in fact i reckon hes better in the big games - hope Green Bay D stuff him tho  :y

both have phenomenal D's - hope its not a snooze-a-thon - but it'll definitely be close   :y

but Rogers is the better QB i reckon, but Ben's won it twice hasnt he? he'll not be scared-- cant call this one at all Bertie - heart says Green Bay, head says Green Bay, but very slightly - Steelers winning wouldnt be a shock, put it that way  ;)

i would love to watch this game but its on too late :(

my mrs being american was saying she thinks its more rough than rugby (union)

i completely disagree:

1. they have helmets and basically a mattress stuffed in their shirts
2. its so stop start they get such a breather its unreal
3. rugby players smash someone, get up and smash someone again 5 secs later and again and again.

what do you think?

I have loved watching American football in the States with American friends, and really enjoy watching some really gorgeous men :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

However, I have no idea of what the game really consists of except it appears to be a form of rugby!!

Now Baseball is something quite different, and I enjoy the way the game is played using the rules to a teams advantage.  It is also fast and exciting! 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

i went to see texas rangers when i was out there. most definitely the most boring game ive ever seen... however i had a good time cos i chose to lounge across several seats, a few cans of bud light and a chilli dog and soak up the rays.... i was hoping to get on the ''kiss-o-vision'' where they shoot the camera round to a bloke and woman in the crowd and they have to snog  :D ;D ;D ;D

The best of us have american wives :y

Which state is she from?

I think because of the extra protection the hits are harder.  It is not more physically demanding than rugby nor is it mentally more challenging.  All the same I bet it is fun to play, after some of my rugby matches I envy the extra protection they have, I always seem to crack ribs :(

the protection is there because every player in AF is attacking someone regardless of who has the ball - 2 completely different games - you played AF without the armour - you wouldn't last a single play  :o

no comparison to be honest  ;)

to put it another way Rugby is a contact sport.
American Football is a collision sport.
