insurance
« on: 10 March 2011, 22:31:44 »

my insurance company hyped their price from £206 to wanting £355, so i went on-line & and found a comprehensive policy with protected n.c.d, legal help for £230. though when reading the conditions nobody but me can drive my car, nor can i drive any vehicle belonging to any body else, i always thought on a comp policy i would be able to drive a borrowed motor as third party. :-/

It's something that some companies offer as a complimentary bonus :y

Interestingly, after previous years, Admiral Multicar has come out considerably cheapest for me this time around (like £200 on my renewal alone :o :o) and £80 odd cheaper than the next cheapest quote :y :y

Trouble is, I think I need to get my LPG conversion inspected ASAP :-X ::)

I am with Admiral Multi Car and have had to borrow my mothers car on two occasions when the Mig has let me down >:(  rang them up to give them the car details and they did not want to know, I asked if I was covered under the 'drive any car' she said only in an emergency, I said it was an emergency, my car had broken down, she just said that's OK then and did not want the details.... :o :o :o

only ever the case if the insurance company tells you at time of purchase and if its on documents

i'm only 3rd party on my bora but i'm covered 3rd party on borrowed vehicles

my brother was once told by 2 seperate staff at his insurance company that he'd be insured 3rd party to bring a newly purchased uninsured vehicle home for a friend, he was lucky not to be caught as it turned out he wasnt covered!
