« on: 19 March 2011, 21:52:41 »

SHMBO has just decided we should go over onto the heath to have a good look at the moon...

... No Light Pollution at all :y :y

Unfortunately I can't find the camera and don't have the right attachment for the telescope anyway :'( :'(

I'm sure I read that either last night or tonight the moon would be closer to earth resulting in it being 14% larger .

Or maybe I'm just a little inebriated after the rugby result today...hic !  ;D

Tender subject for me this full moon affair. Finished early on friday, back in the yard just after midday. Took the opportunity to wash the truck/skelly & check oil & water, only for the fitters to come out & say i'm only washing off/checking fluids because it's a full moon & the only time i'm vaguely sane. Very funny! ::)

just got back from work and took the dog for a walk on the beach. Moon certainly larger and with no cloud cover (hence temp of -1 as I drove home) the sky was quite clear and bright. Quite scenic tbh with the moonlight on the sea. Shouldve thought to take my camera really I suppose but was more concerned with not getting my hands sullied whilst using the poop bags ;D
