So this is an old documentary, but I wondered if anyone else had seen it?
I know views will be polarised to two extremes; 1) it's his own damn fault, let him sink and 2) he has a genuine problem.. personally I can empathise greatly (being very overweight myself) and don't subscribe to the "he should just stop eating!" viewpoint..
Anyway, two things struck me:
1) The doctor treating him, who said "For some reason society now sees it as unacceptable to be hungry. If you're hungry you have a snack to 'tide you over' till the next meal. Well that's wrong. You don't see a lion having a chipmunk just to tide him over till the next antelope.."
2) Isn't it ironic that the two helpers he has look after him are thin, very attractive, relatively young, women.. I don't know about you but I'd find that utterly frustrating!

(I know I'm going to regret posting this, aren't I..)
