Well the UN countries, including the Arab League, which was crucial, have decided to act militarily against Gaddafi.
With this time full legal, and moral, backing the French have their aircraft now patrolling above Libya, with British, Canadian, and Arab countries aircraft coming into play very soon.
The USA are, wisely, taking a bit of a back seat, and the Germans, along with the Italians (very understandably!!), will not be participating with their aircraft, but the latter will provide bases for the UN forces to use.
The great thing is that they are going in above ground to assist the Libyan people who have requested International help, along with the Arab League, so it is not the evil West trying to dictate what happens in an Arab country, but Allies supporting Arabs to gain democracy and freedom in their own country

My only concern is that I do not know historically of any war that has been settled by air power alone. However, the UN forces are going in with a "no boots on the ground policy". I hope the Libyan people can do the rest! 8-) 8-) 8-)
I wish them well! Allah be with them!
