I have to say that the Henry gets consistently good reviews on the sites I have visited. Additionally, one reviewer said that they are made in England. Don't know if that is the case, but if so it would be a rarity these days.  ;) :y

imho, whatever feels best in your hand.

few things I despise in vacuums....

1, brushbars that dont stop rotating when moved to upright, great for chewing things up.

3, vacuum's that suck through the hose all the time rather than only when the tools are being used.

I know Dyson's tick the box for both those, ours has been good, but not that good considering how much they are, and I dont think they last very well.  That said, Im starting to keep an eye out for a replacement for our aging DC07 Animal, and Im not seeing many / any non-dysons that fit the bill, but am reluctant to go dyson again.

What happened to 2? :-?

Once had a door-to-door salesman round trying to sell me a Kirby. Poor chap insisted on demonstrating it all round the house. I was mightily impressed, but then he told me the price...couldn't get rid of him quick enough!! :o :o ;) ;D

The same Vac could be purchased through industrial suppliers under the name of Cimex, cost about 1/3 of of the price, this was in the early eighties.... :D :D :D
