see the surgeon about the infection in my head this afternoon. seems when i had it done all those times late 80's they left a big  gap when they removed the bone leaving a void area. well its finally collapsed blocking the passages and slowly building up and now totally infected. i am now in need of complex surgery to rebuild the area on both sides of my sinuses to create air passages to allow air to flow.  i may need 2 or 3 operations which take about 4hrs each.   urgent surgery is required but need scans and x rays to see how bad and deep into my head the infection is. i feel relieved but slightly worried but now know its going to be sorted out.

Can only be a good thing Richie.There arent many things worse than undiagnosed health issues,they can really wear you down.
At least theres light at the end of the tunnel.

It's understandable that you're concerned about the treatment, but when you consider the alternative should you not have the procedures done it will make any discomfort well worthwhile in the long run.

thank you. i'm a bit worried about the pills i have to take though. been given a card i have to carry in case something happens to me while on them.  once i take the first one tomorrow morning i must not miss a dose until i am given a drug to take me off them. im happy with that. thank you.
