i  have wrote polite notes, but they have been ignored. tumble dryer with a dodgy bearing  at 1am and radii alarms loud at 6am is too much. how far does one go with complaints. its hard enough as it is trying to sleep withe pain in my head

You have my sympathy Richie. My neighbour has a cinema surround sound thingy with a massive woofer. Should be rather banned. But at least he stops at ten when my lad goes to bed. He does since I told him anyway.

What you need is a sheet of steel, a slow running motor, some chain and a timer.
Set it up so the motor swings the chain and hits the steel sheet slowly. Set the timer to come on every hour or so, switch on then go away for the weekend. ;D ;D

5 ft. of scaffolding pipe, suspended vertically using fence wire and hit with a 5lb. lump hammer, also serves well!
