Small hole on the inner wing near the steering box mounts. :(
Looks like TG will be playing with the welder again soon. ;D

Bad luck...how come yours can fail, isnt he mot trained yet  ;D

He's barely housetrained. ;D
Nope he's another two years at college before he can do the testers course so one of the other guys had to do it.
Not too bad really, easy enough access with the wheel off.

That's where mine has just been welded due an advisory last year.  ;)

Is it a common area for them to rust then?

I've noticed that the inner wing / chassis leg area on mine are starting to look a bit on the rusty side in places :'( That said, it passed the MOT on Saturday  :y

The body shop unbolted my steering box so they could weld up around & about the chassis leg.

Ah mines not that bad!

Guess its a case of getting the wire brush out and seeing what its like under the paint thats starting to lift - if its fine, then slap a load of Dinitrol on then?

Just got to fix the self levelling pipe he managed to nick with the grinder now.
Can you get speedyfits for 3.26mm o/d pipe?

I wonder if you could find a bit of ordinary plastic airline with araldite that you could use as a speedyfit. I've some 6 mm tubing that has a 4 mm bore  :-/ :-/
