Greanpeace in our time
« on: 19 June 2011, 09:37:43 »

So it turns out the latest "scientific" report from the IPCC which claims that, within 40 years, nearly 80 per cent of the world's energy needs could be met from renewable sources, is based solely on a paper co-authored last year by an employee of Greenpeace International and something called the European Renewable Energy Council. This Brussels-based body, heavily funded by the EU, lobbies the European Commission on behalf of all the main renewable industries, such as wind and solar.

No science, of course. Just vested-interest propaganda.

Scam, scam, scam.  ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) >:(

presumably, when the oil runs out, everything will run on fairy dust, an oft overlooked resource created by the wishes and dreams of deniers everywhere  :)

good luck with that

Well, there's always going back to live in the trees. Or n****** oh, can't talk about that, of course.

I look forward to the first wind powered airliner. Or perhaps we'll all end up flying gliders. No problem with me as long as they let me drive. 8-)

With the amount of white goods gadgets and other electrical equipment people now expect in there homes ,and the large demand for electricity generally in this and other countries .The only efficent way to produce this amount of electricity is Nuclear as windmills and other so called renewable sources dont produce enough power(megawatts).

The energy secretary chris Huhne, believes nuclear power is evil, so he forces UK power companies to shut down their power stations for a day or so periodically to prevent them exceeding their carbon limits - and then they have to buy their energy in from France. Energy produced in French nuclear power stations, mostly situated near the northern coast, so much closer to heavily populated areas of the UK then heavily populated areas of France.
One might be tempted to think of him as a hypocritical sleazy, power crazy little crook. Just like most other Liberals are. ;) :D

Hasn't that cretin been nicked for that speeding ticket business yet or have a few brown paper envelopes been exchanged to make it go away? ::)

Trouble is, although the Japanese episode demostrated how safe nuclear is, the media went for the sensationalist hype bullshit. This means the masses are anti nuclear

Being green is just another way to tax us more, it is a complete waste of time given how the volcanoes have spewed out more crap than man produces. Oil is not in short supply it is just more difficult to get to, but the oil companies have got that sussed, look at the price at the pump now and how much oil companies are making. Makes the penny of a litre seem a con from the last budget. Isn't it strange that as soon as car companies start selling more economical cars, thanks to the last con by the government ie trade in your old car and get £2000.00 of a new one, the price of petrol soars. Could this be down to the goverment realising that the more economical cars on the road means less fuel being sold hence less revenue, same for the oil companies. We are all being sold a lie and we are not being helped by these so called green parties.
Rant over but it does get on my nerves >:(

actually, didn't the Japanese thing show just how safe nuclear power is ? I mean after an earthquake, tsunami and major is-handling, there was still a relatively small level of contamination, etc. No-one died. That sounds like a good advert to me.
