We were hoping that it wouldn't rain or be too hot!  It was a bit on the chilly side but to be honest thats ideal for running.

I'd managed to do the 5k in 34 mins in training but was aiming to finish in under 40 mins.  37 mins was fine with me.  It hadn't occurred to me that there would be steep hills in the route so hadn't bothered to train up any......oops! ;D

It's been a long time happening but I felt that I needed to put something into cancer research, we've both lost our mums to it and I'm at increased risk of it so only seemed right.

Well done Ljay a great effort,the only way I can see for you to improve your time was to not slow down by waving  ;)

On a more serious note thank you for doing this as I know what it is like to lose a mother and a grndmother both to cancer,lets hope that they will find a cure for it.
