U2 headlining the pyramid stage tonight. Bet the audience will be well away. Young girls covered in mud & the atmosphere of a great gig.

Hope they play my fave track!

Agreed U2 were brilliant as were Coldplay tonight.

I suppose he gets paid license payers money for his contribution >:( >:(

I have a bit of a soft spot for U2 -always have had, although its considered very uncool to like them. I suppose its because they are so succesful. Although, I really dont like the edge,s guitar playing. I find it irritating and samey. To me Bono is the band.
I watched last night, and thought it was good - on a different level to the usual dross we get to see and hear these days. I didnt think it was U2 at anything like their best though, tbh.

Not my all time favourite U2 song, but my favourite performance.
From 4.00 in - pure brutal truth, delivered with passion.Pretty brave thing to do at the time, not many people with a voice on the world stage were saying it at that time ;)

Glad to see some of you were there. U2 are certainly a main gig stadium band now. I particularly love "Walk away" because it has a kind of Gothic echo to it, (ala The Cult) etc.

I think they nail it. I liked the hookup with the international space station and the knod to David Bowies Major Tom.

Also the knods to Coldplay and Primal Scream were a good touch.

I've seen the band half a dozen time in the past as the stage show are amazing but this stripped back set was just as good
