So it would work on my 03 car but not with the older 98 estate, sadly?

I use a cheap wireless bluetooth code reader for mine, works well.  Allows me to use my phone to talk to the car.

Got an autel maxiscan summat or other that gives the description rather than just the code, was about £40 but has paid for itself many times over!
