New passport,what a breeze.
« on: 14 July 2011, 08:07:01 »

Hi all, arrived back at Cardiff airport from our hols yesterday, the passport control was chock a block, so decided to try out our new type passports.
They worked a treat,no problems I think the government actually got something right for a change.
The other 200 odd passengers did not very happy lining up in the usual zig zag queue.

PS,on an other note Cardiff airport now charges £2 to use a luggage trolley.

Try flying into Southampton airport, no scanners, everyone has to go through the zig zag bit.  :(

I've got a new style passport and it doesn't give me any privileges.  Or are you referring to the retinal scanning option?  If so, I've seen people take so long to get through those it's not guaranteed to be faster.
