Hello I have a dead Pajero 2.8 td that needs a new engine . I can get an engine for about £700 they then want £350 to fit the engine and then as it would need recovery to them thats another £150.
My question is does anyone know anyone that could fit the engine for me at a better price .
I am not confident to do it on my own plus I do not have any where to do this work . Any thoughts suggestions welcomed

gaw blimey. Thats a big lump and a big high engine bay to lift it into. Or is it a case of lifting the car up and leaving the engine/subframe on the floor? Ramp or crane? Going to be difficult to help without specialist gear i guess?

I do not think the engine is that big its a four cylinder
but your right it is a big lift :-/ I had not realised how tall the car is (its almost six foot tall) overall

usaullly take the front wheels off and lower it on to blocks to crane em in and out

£350 just about covers around 5 hours labour, and that sounds about the right sort of time frame for an engine swap.

so possible with a crane(hire?) and a flat drive (thats me out)....?
