jetex exhausts
« on: 08 June 2007, 17:21:42 »

Hi all,
Has anyone ever fitted a jetex exhaust to there omega??
I was toying with the idea of a stainless system but was bothered if they may be noisy as most off the shelf systems are?
i was going to get a system made by custum chrome but the jetex is £100 cheaper so i was sucked into wanting one of them!
Any comments? ;)

I have one fitted to my 3.0 On the whole it's OK but it's a bit noisier than standard and the the twin exit pipes are a bit on the big side - a bit too 'Max Power' really for me.

Few lads I know down here in South Wales have used a company called Longlife, I think the company is national, seem to be reasonable on price and do a good job.

i used Longlife a few years ago to replace the exhaust for my Zafira......

Due to the fact that they didn't use a shunt when welding they blew both the ECU's on the car!! and 10 months later the exhaust developed a bad rattle and nearly dropped off (forgot to weld an additional support on the main section)

They replaced the ECU's and fixed the hanger, i felt that because of the money i paid for it i shouldn't have had to endure the hassle they created

Well,
My Jetex Full system arrived this morning, WOW that 2.5" pipe looks huge!!
I will be fitting it tonight (weather permitting) then looking into what different tailpipes i can put on it instead of the twin 80mm round pipes,, At the moment i have an Irmscher double 'D' so i need somthing that looks good!! ;)

 ;D Happy days,
Fitted the jetex stainless system before, battled the weather and feel like i have most of the road chippings stuck in my back!! well worth it though, It sounds very nice, Not as loud as the previous system i had on my last omega, But as i thought, The tailpipes are too short as i have the irmscher rear bumper on it!!
