2 Vauxhalls for me  :-[

Nova 1.2L, nothing inherently wrong with car, actually decent car (rust aside), just didn't get on with it

Belmont 1.8GLSi. Useless heap of shite. The first engine I had in it was fun, went like stink (only reason I bought it).  Only had it 3months, that was 3 months too long. Replaced it with a 2.0 GTE, which was, by comparison, a much much much better car

1998 Daewoo Nubira Estate, 2.0CDX.
My company gave me this to replace the slowest ever 1994 Astra est 1.7D, non turbo.
At first I thought, wayhay, 2.0 petrol, air-con, leccy windows. God that was short lived.
Car was in the garage EVERY two weeks. Mainly front suspension creaks which after several lower arms they still couldn't erradicate.
Cambelt snapped at 57,000, was due at 63,000 I think? Car was off the road for almost 2 months because they couldn't get the parts. Picked it up on a Saturday, went again on the Thursday. They hadn't changed the jockey tensioner which was cracked.
I ended up having a stand up argument with the service manager where he threatened me, I then got him sacked. That'll learn him!!!
Other than that, i've been pretty lucky. Had a 94 Rover 214SLi which could have been a real pain if you believe the hype, but I took it to 155,000 miles and only had a h/gasket and alternator in that time.

In terms or opinion on the car it would be the Kia Shuma i had before the mig. Nasty thing, put together by monkeys and made of cardboard i swear. Never forgave myself for buying a 1.6 petrol...faster acceleration on my diesel mig.
In terms of reliability i have to say the worse is this Omega. definatly didnt buy a good one and in its age and mileage it keeps falling apart. But i love it, more than nay other ive had lol

Difficult choice...... and the first is embarrassing  [smiley=tongue.gif]

Reliant Robin. What? Im not whispering, I said Reliant Robin.

The front wheel swinging arm peeled off the box member, we ground to a sliding grinding halt after ploughing a nice furrow up the road.

Me and me mate reckoned it was maybe something to do with the tuned Hillman Imp engine we had squeezed in and the two breeze block counterweights. Loved to leave Mini Coopers standing, its all power to weight mates...  & we had no weight!

First choice has to be a Range Rover Vogue V6 petrol, the violent fuel consumption that meant you didnt worry about the non-working speedo-  just check the rate of descent on the fuel gauge! The 20 degree list to port didn't help confidence, but I gave up on the monster when both rear seat belt mounts pulled out from the arches in my hands  ;D ;D ;D

Edit: forgot that I traded the Rangy in for a Lada Niva 4x4 and thats another story.....

BTW sorry to mention the Robin here.

Best - Sunbeam Rapier H120 Holbay engine, twin webbers ( thats carburettors ) pillarless coupe with overdrive.  G reg.( thats a G at the end of the reg, not the front )circa 1969.

Worst - VW Passat Estate - 1.8 Turbo petrol, 1999 S reg, FSH 70k, absolute nightmare, needed a turbo, abs unit, alarm/body control unit and airbag part. Best ever MPG -  28, useless. Quoted £2600 + vat at a dealer to fix it. Had the warning light LED's disconnected and sent it to auction.
