Car prang update
« on: 01 October 2009, 15:40:43 »

Car all repaired now and should be delivered back to me tomorrow afternoon. As suspected the offside wing was replaced but they managed to repair the Irmscher bumper to pristine condition. :y Also had offside headlamp replaced because it was scuffed. :o Quite surprised about that. They also resprayed the drivers door to blend in with resprayed new wing so should look good. :y I'll post up some pics when I get a chance.
Although I've quite enjoyed the hire car (BMW 318d 2.0 M Sport) I can't wait to get the beast back. Also means I'll be able to make it to my planned visit to MDTM's this weekend for rocker cover gaskets and relocation of the O2 sensors to get rid of the damn EML being constantly on. :y

Only the 3rd party insurers as they're paying for the repairs and the hire car! :y
Will get some pics when it arrives back later today but won't be able to post them for a day or so as Photobucket has been firewalled by our IT dept. at work. :(

Just spoke to the repair centre and my car won't be ready until Monday depite having told me yesterday it would be ready today. >:( Apparently the bumper was still in the ovens this afternoon and then it's got to be QC'd and cleaned so quite how some imbecile could say it would be ready today I really don't know!! :o
That's really messed up my plans now as I was due to drive it to Mark DTM's in Nottingham tomorrow but will now have to reschedule for November. :(
