German 2.5 elite
« on: 28 October 2009, 18:19:35 »

Hi, I have recently purchased a 1999 v6 elite and evrything under bonnet is in german, I was wondering if this was made for the german market and if so are there are any differences to the ones for the british market. Thanks for your time.

Hello there fellow Prestoner,

I saw that on Ebay and I was tempted. It sounds like a good motor. If you need any secondhand bits or even another Omega or 2 give me a shout I may be able to help :y

It might need a service, a new fuel filter can sometimes have a dramatic effect on performance. have you checked to see if it has any fault codes stored?

The light was on when i got it but garage i know found that the icv had been disconnected? the light is now out!
I was told it was bought from another oldish couple in stoke so i'm presuming it has not been unleashed to its full potential.
It handles better than any omega i've had no wandering or nothing but it just feels too stiff, if thats the right word

Oh no they dont, what's in the doors are the sensors to activate the side airbags which are in the seats.
