Twit in van
« on: 08 January 2010, 21:45:13 »

From Inkberrow to Worcester caught up with a van which would not go over 20, I overtook quite easily, a bit of light flashing from it. Mile down road popped into a garage for some paraffin.

Pulled out after it with my paraffin.

People were again overtaking it, lights flashing, and when I went past with the car in front the horn. I popped my rear fogs on due to too much flashing - Omega ones really dazzle - don't keep flashing me you xxxxx moron!

About 30 seconds later heard horn again, then again, and a little later a very quiet horn.

That driver definately needed punching!

BTW even though it was slushy it was reasanbly grippy, in fact in some places the road was actually clear.

Great stretch of road, not been down that way for ages! A lot of fun in the dry ;)

Too many people think the idea is to drive slowly in the snow ::) ::) ::)

Just drive smoothly you morons >:( >:( >:(

I was getting flashed and hooted for using the outside lane of the dual carriageway to do the grand old speed of 35mph to overtake the queue of people too scared to go around the moron who was scared to go over 12-15mph :o :o :o

Christ... At that speed a decent sized block of ice would have brought everyone to a standstill ::) ::)

Erm done some silly things on there.

I used to own a car capable of going around the tight bend by Red Hart at 60mph easily. ((when it was a 60 limit) - and I lost a 205 GTI on that section.

I also took the same rally car at a silly speed on loose chippings past Grafton Mill :-[ :-[

Omega is about 50 since I put the Eibach springs on

The Red Hart was one of the few bends I'd come off the limiter in an empty 44 tonner running home to Stourport from Stratford-U-A

And on the Ice under the latest layer of snow? that said it is more about keeping a good gap and being ready to take evasive action. IMPO my 'bottom' is my guide.... :D :D :D

Had the same this afternoon on the A325 (dual carriageway, armco divider) from Farnborough back to the Shot.

L reg Toyota Starlet (that looked like it was "crabbing" from behind), massive gouge running down most of the drivers side (that should have been the warning), 25mph on blatantly visible tarmac, then the twonk puts his foot down to what had to be a good 60mph (suicidal for the conditions IMO).

The fact he intentionally stopped me from overtaking was quite irksome to say the least, what really made me want to give him a free lesson in TKD was the fact he risked the lives of every single last person in the vicinity.

The government spend £1,000's of our hard earned in advertisng that demonises the road tax dodger, I wonder how many REAL coppers that money would buy in ensuring our roads do NOT have idiots like that on the road?

So putting your rear fogs on is only going to antagonise further.

You have an antidazzle mirror fitted to Omega ;)

If some idiots gives me a flash of their rear fogs when visibility is above 100yrds, they end up with everything I've got shining on their rear window.  Front fogs is my other bugbear, though letting people off in this weather, seeing as the retards at the BBC recommend them in this weather - and BBC viewers lack the mental capacity to understand common sense

I REALLY do not understand why people get so upset when others have their front fog lights on! I mean why worry?
I'll say this - only once can I or shall I - if I want to put my front foglights on, I will, and no amount of flashing me (unless the flashing lights are blue or red) will make me switch them off!

Saying that, I don't put them on unless I feel they are needed - which isn't often to be honest.

What does annoy me concerning lights is the guy I ride to work with, does not use his main beam. I mean ever!
Then says he cant see where the next bend is..............

Front fogs are uncontrolled lights - hence not checked at MOT, and thus 99% of time poorly aimed.  The buggers invariably dazzle, and are antisocial.

Thats why they are only supposed to be used when needed, not as a look at me, I'm a knob
