OEM Parts from Autovaux
« on: 16 February 2010, 22:21:01 »

All

Please can you allay a concern for Diane

I have advised to get cambelt kit (Gates, SKF, or Conti) from autovaux, along with the service kit, and OEM Stat, and transfer pipe

And a service kit, again OEM parts (nothing pattern).

Di is worried that some members will be unhappy with my advice - but obviously isn't comfortable to say this openly..

Over to you.....

Autovaux have been fine whenever I've used them :y :y :y

Oh... And I wouldn't pay the extortionate asking price of a Vx Cambelt Kit when SKF/Gates/Contitech are probably better at half the price ;) ;)

Was ordered in the same batch as mine, so if yours breaks I know I'm in trouble. ;D

Just someone told me to stick with parts from a Vx Dealer.
I am happy with James advice, why would I not be?

Even though you can get the same part, from an identical source, for  considerably less?  :y

For some parts this is important, for others you are better off going elsewhere. Go with the advice on this forum and you won't go wrong. :y
