V reg 1.6 Capri which was a light green colour....

Plenty of reclined seat time in that  ;)

Something like this with fluffy dice.
I can see you now, would have suited you ;D ;D ;D ;D

This makes me feel ancient, first car was a 1947 1.5ltr jaguar bought for £15, kept that for about 3months then moved on to a Triumph Herald.

Wish i had the jag now it would be worth a bit I think

A T-reg Mini 1000 in 'sandglow' colour, put the usual rubbish on it like chrome bullbars and 2-up, 2-down Rally Giants, as mentioned by someone earlier. Polished it every other weekend though, looked after that car

A 2 tone ford Anglia 109E in a pale metalic grey with an equally nasty silvery blue ,back in 1975.I think from memory I paid £100 for it which was a huge sum as I only earnt £18=00 a week.
Great fun and remember 2 of use pulling out the engine on a large bit of rope when a big end bearing went and rebuilding it in the kitchen...oh the good old days.

As you know, if you manage to even see a MkIII for sale, they go for silly money these days!

I knw I'm digressing ......  ::)
but just found this cos it was commented on in the Practical Classics http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1982-FORD-CORTINA-CRUSADER-BLUE-Genuine-5432-miles_W0QQitemZ160404212208QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomobiles_UK?hash=item2558d609f0

If you read the blurb with it, the cam belt has been recently done but, 'still runs on its original Good Year Grand Prix S tyres'  :o  :o  :o  :o
There are forum members younger than those tyres!  :o  :o
Surely he means that it's running on Good Year Grand Prix S like it was when it was new, not that it's still on its originals .....  :-/  :-/  :-/

Mine was a Ford 100E Anglia, two tone blue and white plus rust!! Pushed it all over Sussex to get the damn thing started on cold mornings and as such vowed never to buy another Ford (and haven't)
