Rover 214 3dr wedge

I know its not a mig but anyone got any idea how to unlock drivers door. The fob broke long ago and we alway used key to unlock etc. However last night button moves slightly but will not go up.this means car is alarmed and immobilised so will not start. The n/s door is open which houses lock motor does any one know if i can put power to this in order to open drivers door. :-/

Is the battery flat? If so, apply jump leads and then lock/unlock the car :y :y

no battery is good fully charged i did try that.
When i attempt to pull button up it feel as if something is pulling or holding it.

Only thing I can think of is that one of the rods has gotten wedged somewhere :-/

Mide didn't even have a remote fob.  :(

It did have a habit of locking itself if you slammed the door. Always best to make sure you didn't slam the door with the keys in and the engine running. ;D

I take it you have physically checked that the doors aren't unlocked, not just the visual check of the pin?
