My first was a '96 Vectra 2.0 DI, as an emergency replacement for my Mondeo after the Cam belt tensioner slipped...  I ne ver really liked the car, but, it holds some awesome memories...  Things like getting the car stuck on Black Rock sands in Wales, and rolling backwards down a welsh mountain after Green Flag left me stranded!!!

2ltr vectra cd 1996 - by the time i got rid of it it had done about 180k and still was ok!!

i learned to drive and passed my test in 1971 in an HB Viva! i even bought one, exactly like the one in your photo - a financial black hole, everything  that could go wrong went wrong, it even caught fire in heavy traffic once   :-[

but i loved it  ::)

Nova 1.3 SR  87 D (aged 17)

Cav 2.0 16v Red top SRi 93K (aged 17)

cav 1.6 ohc  90 H (aged 18) belt snapped, put a 2.0 8v sri in it and chipped it.

cav 2.0 SRi 8v 91 J (aged 19) bought for £250 with a ding in the wing, fixed and sold for £2250. - my first bit of luck and insight into the motor trade!

astravan 99 S 1.7D (aged 21 having had a rover 2 years!)

Omega 2.0 GLS with a full elite pack on (age 21)
omega 3.0 MV6 99V  (age 21)
omega ..... it all blurs at this point, but have owned one since 2005 of some description, mainly 3.2s

1958 Victor (the one with the exhaust poking out of the rear bumper), looked like a miniature Chevy until it literally rusted to bits which just shows how old I am.

Vauxhall HC Viva with 2.3 Victor engine. Ex Vaux Rally team car fully stripped and prepared. Had it one week before parents forced sale. They prefered sale of car to funeral costs for me! Cavalier 1.6 GLS Saloon folowed by 1.6l hatch and probally the best of the bunch, before my present Elite, Carlton 2.0 CD.  :y
