Lizzie's dead Omega
« on: 10 May 2010, 21:33:05 »

I've PM'd Lizzie first...but this is indeed her former 2.5 CDX.
May be worth someone buying for spares etc?

But I thought it was interesting to note that it's being disposed of after 7 months or so...but as we know insurance companies are slow.

Yes my old car would provide some great spares, but ideally I would just love someone on the OOF with the resources available to fully repair and put her back on the road!! :y :y

The insurance assessor gave me a repair figure of something like £2,000, but that is obviously with a garage undertaking the work ;) ;)

I'll say, before the accident this car was absolutely mint hardly a mark on it. Very well looked after indeed, would be worth it if someone wanted it  :y

Thanks Del! :y :y

Yes, even the insurance assessor stated the car was in excellent condition and pursuaded the insurance company to pay out accordingly at the top end of book price; £1,650! 8-) 8-)

Oh I wish I could Daz, but I haven't got the facilities to carry out that type of work, even if I knew how to repair bodywork, which I certainly don't!! :'( :'(

I won't get a sun tan if I send it by sea ;D

If you can sell them at £8k, I will take out the cost of buying it plus the cost of driving it to you and split whats left which should be about £2.5k each :o ;D

Thanks Pete :y

It is strange but although it has been 7 months since that CDX was effectively 'taken off the road', and I actually now have a better miggy, I still miss that car a lot!! :'( :'(

If I had the facilities and knowledge to put her back legally on the road I would.  After all  to buy her back will probably cost only £300-400! :( :(

Still tomorrow I let go! ::) ::)
