Omega is gettin alot of work shortly, part of that is a lower mileage/serviced/partly rebuilt engine 

However... which V6 is best, the 3.0 or worth going 3.2? Its currently a 3.0 prefacelift..or is it even possible to use better bits from the 3.2 etc? Possibly looking at fast road cams aswell

My knowledge of migs isnt great, thought it best to ask the gurus

Nothing between them...  ...though I understand the 3.2 has a stronger crank. 3.2 has better manifolds, but believe you can retrofit (with some work) to 3.0

The 3.2 manifolds was the only point ive heard mentioned before. I knew there isnt much between them, which was making me think to stick to 3.0 as it'll also be less hassle insuring

All 4 V6s have their plus an dminus points, there is a good reason for every one.

If you swap for a DBW engine (2.6 and 3.2) then there's gotta be some wiring and ECU issues as well as any mechanical differences?

After all, you'd be doing away with the bloody awful EGR system, the coil packs are completely different, maybe the injection system is different too?

It's a lot easier to LPG IMO.

.... and for others reading, for me 3.2 is easier to own for the same reason, that being far less clutter under the bonnet. Icv sai cruise box egr, throttle cable gubbins, plug leads and coil PAC all missing.

However coil pacs are expensive, although far easier to replace, and maf's less reliable. Pedal trick is far more help with obd2 codes that also identify which cylinder is missing. But then there is the pre cat issue, although that's more irritating than anything.

Face lift interior suffers with the tactile finnish scratching off, but personally I don't like the pre face lift door cards.

Swings and roundabouts I suppose. But I prefer the face lift shape so that's that...for me.

However, with a little work you can make a 3.0 DBW and get rid of the SAI, EGR and Dispack plus fit 2.6/3.2 manifolds as I  know someone who has done it lol x x x
