Why change the stat? Was it fubar? Or just preventative/while your in there maintenance?

Knackered.  I was going to leave it until a certain Hampshire lad was going to drill the manifolds (sshhh, don't tell him, he doesn't know yet ::)), but it was a bit too bad to leave...

::) - got a couple of spares in my garage for you as well ;)

How long does the drilling take? In this case, I'd prefer (if poss) to drill the current manifold, and put back on (so can't do it before I've ordered a kit).

Less than an hour, I'd say, once I've found my taps and the chuck key for my drill, etc. (must tidy the garage up) :-[.
