How old are you, and where do you live?

I'll avoid moving there at those premiums....................

Bloody scandalous......gone to "compare the market" or "go Compare" for quotes yet?

I saved £120 on my renewal by doing that.

(mind you, I'm 50, been driving since 18, no convictions and live in the Forest of Dean where the majority of "bad boys" are sheep or boar..................... ;D ;D)

thats was my own insurer's renewal quote i got when i rang them today, i've been trawling hundreds of insurers over the last 2 weeks and the cheapest i got is swiftcover at £538, and i can claim £25 back after 60 days

thats involved alot of tweeking with fully comp/tpft, adding swmbo, removing swmbo, declaring less miles, adding more excess, changing the value of my car

in the end i gave up and filled in completely correctly, so swiftcover it is!!

My brother added his girlfriend to his insurance and she added him to hers, and both policies went down regards premiums.  Different insurance companies.

Definately worth adding an older relative as the insurance company looks at it from the point of view that x amount of time the car is being driven by a lower risk driver so will calculate the premium accordingly.

This is perfectly legit unlike when parents put themselves as main driver and 17 year old on as a named driver when in reality the youngster is the main driver, this is known as fronting and blatantly illegal.

My old man has driven my car once in two years but hes on there for that reason alone. SWMBO too young and to bad a claims record ;)
